Lifting the darkness

Postby Robert60 » Sun Aug 02, 2015 9:16 am

I remember when in the third season, everyone had to admit a secret,to save Neal. What if at the end of the fifth season everyone has to admit and own up to their own darkness. Say in order to take the darkness out of Emma they have to face their own darkness. Admit to a moment in time when they were deliberately cruel to someone close to them because they were angry. They would have to face the one they hurt and admit to their deliberate cruelty. It would be correct with the spirit of the show.

What exactly do you mean by this title . . . "lifting the darkness"? Lifting what darkness? Lifting night time? What?

Perhaps a more suitable title would have been Taking out the darkness. From Emma of course. In order to remove the darkness from Emma and putting it into a container that could hold it, the people closest to Emma, would have to admit their own dark moment to make such a removing spell work. I hope this answer your question.

Are you speaking of the entity that has taken possession of Emma?

Then why not call it the entity? Which is basically what it is.

I had another thought along this line. If Emma's darkness is to be removed this way and Regina was to be part of it she would have to admit to murdering Graham. She would have to confirm that his death was a murder and that she was responsible for it. In order for Emma's darkness to be remove everyone involved has to admit to something that no one else is aware of or that they would otherwise never admit to. For Charming it might be having to admit that when Emma and Snow were in the enchanted forest he briefly considered that possibility that he and Henry might never see MM or Emma ever again. These examples are the sort of things most people don't want to admit, but we all have them.
